About the artist

Iabadiou Piko (b. 1984, Indonesia) lives and works in Indonesia. With reference to his background in photography, Piko’s intense gestures and aggressive use of color create a cathartic emotional experience for both the artist and the viewer. Piko rapidly and freely draws his color across the surface, creating frenetic fields of color and form that allude to personal history and psychological exploration.
